Connections
How to connect to the server using a server IP address only?
Connection with TCP/IP only is possible in NetWare 4.2 and newer. Type in the server IP in the server field on the software toolbar.
How do I connect to a NetWare server via a web browser?
Installing the sfcon.nlm module on the server is necessary. Then type in the server's IP address and port number in your browser, using the following pattern:
http:// server_name_or_ip_address:5023.
What port number needs be entered in the web access, and can this number be changed?
The default port number is 5023, and can be changed at the user's discretion.

I cannot connect to the server from a web browser. Why is it the case?
This can be due to multiple reasons. The most probable are:
- incorrect port number or server's address
- incorrect username (full context name) and server password
- insufficient rights to access the server
- no port on the firewall has been enabled
Is the web-enabled connection to NetWare servers secure?
The connection to the server from the web is completely secure. This is due to sfConsole's advanced data encryption methods and strict eDirectory authentication and access control.
